Graham Adams is a freelance editor, journalist and columnist. He lives on Auckland’s North Shore.
He has written an excellent piece on 3 Waters.
Here is a quote from his piece: “When more New Zealanders come to understand clearly that the real purpose of Three Waters is to broker a radical “Treaty settlement disguised as an infrastructure project” — as David Seymour put it — all political hell will break loose.”
You can read how he came to this conclusion here
Maori disinformation about their claim to be “the indigenous people of NZ” needs to be addressed, & history CORRECTED The Morioris were before the Maori, along with many others before them, so let’s have facts correct before it is taught at our schools & universities. The treaty is incorrect also trying to kid us that Queen Victoria agreed to a “partnership” with cannibals in those early times, so elite Maori could swindle NZers from money & assets Ala 3 waters.
Tony, I did a blog on the word indigenous but it was quite a while ago and now I can’t find it! Grrrr. But I remember this fact in my research – that the internet has been hijacked and fake news is everywhere. So the definitions of indigenous vary a lot because of this hijack. Here is a bona fide definition. :https://dictionary.cambridge.org/dictionary/english/indigenous
According to this definition, Maori are not indigenous. They came here from somewhere else. They are ‘settlers’ just like the rest of us.
