Analysis: 'Treaty of Waitangi' Comic For High School Students Has Been Quietly Brainwashing Away Since 2018 (Part 4)

So what is there to say about the inside cover page?

There is the title, “Te Tiriti O Waitangi” which was not the original name of the Treaty.  Originally it was just simply “The Treaty of Waitangi.”. 

The title has been Maorified.  

Why? To make the Treaty all about Maori.  To give Maori prominence. Was the Treaty ‘all about Maori’? No, it was not.  

There were three groups in focus in the Treaty:
1. All the people of New Zealand, meaning all non-Maori (settlers).  
2. The British Government i.e. the Crown 
3. Maori. 

The second thing we notice in the inside cover is a picture of the actual Treaty.  Why is this given centre stage?  It’s portraying the idea to readers that this comic is based on the actual Treaty of Waitangi. It’s implying that is written in the comic is therefore authoritative and the truth. It’s conveying the idea that the authors and their judgements / opinions about the Treaty are to be trusted because they have studied the original document. 

Then at the bottom of this page there are the words “Ministry of Education”.   What’s this all about? There was a day, decades ago, when documents produced by ‘the government’ were trustworthy.  

The government used to be the place where politicians and bureaucrats were working for the people, bringing truth to the people.  They had the best interests of the country and all the people front and centre in all they did. 

The authors of the comic are riding on this historical view of government.

Because students today at primary, intermediate, and high school are, generally speaking green and politically naïve,  the vast majority probably still have this historical view of government.  

They think of the government as trustworthy and therefore, anything coming from the government is ‘safe’.

Little do they know that they are now pawns in a political game being played out by Maori activists and their woke fellow travellers.

These activists are after the minds of the children.  Why? So that when they are old enough to vote, they will vote for all things Maori.

Ultimately, this is what this comic is all about.

Join the dots – A Maorified Treaty title, a picture of the actual treaty, the publisher being the Ministry of Education. Conclusion?  I can trust and rely on what this document tells me about our history. 

Right there is the subliminal message.  Right there is how propaganda works.  Those who get caught in its trap don’t know they are being groomed.

That’s the truth I want you to understand today in this blog.

So what is there to say about the inside front cover?

The inside from cover says the following:

 “School Journal Story Library is a targeted series that supplements other instructional series texts. It provides additional scaffolds and supports for teachers to use to accelerate students’ literacy learning.”

This comic is being used in schools to help children with literacy. In other words, the classic children’s books are being supplemented with Treaty of Waitangi propaganda comic.

Below are just some of the classics children ought to be studying.

Winnie-The-Pooh by A. A. Milne (1926)

Mrs Pepperpot Stories by Alf Proysen (1956)

A Traveller in Time by Alison Uttley (1939)

Black Beauty by Anna Sewell (1877)

 Grimms’ Fairy Tales by The Brothers Grimm (1812)

In a global study of 400,000 children in over 60 countries – known as PIRLS – New Zealand has fallen from 13th place in 2001 to 27th place in the data released in 2023.  Read the full story HERE. 

Conclusion?  One major reason our education standards achievements are falling is because our education system has been hijacked by ideological clap trap.  

Maori activists and their woke fellow travellers don’t care about what is best for our school age students.  What they care about is their ideological dream, which, according to He Puapua is to take over the country by 2040. 

What’s best for students is that they leave school highly proficient in reading, writing and arithmetic, able to think critically and analytically, and above all that they have sound character.  I wrote a paper for Maori on character which you can read HERE. It’s actually applicable to everyone.

I believe that character development is the absolute key to the problems Maori face in society.

Schools have been Maorified and so have the teachers.  This comic is one major plank of the activists to achieve their ideological dream, and it’s all at the expense of our children, who have become pawns in a political game.  What’s the game? To capture future voters.

There is one more point of interest on the inside cover page.  It says:

“Teacher support material (available at www.schooljournalstorylibrary.tki.org.nz) contains key information to help teachers to provide the additional support and scaffolding that some students may need to meet the specific reading, writing, and curriculum demands of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.”

“…The demands of Te Tiriti O Waitangi”. Oh really?

What were the only ‘demands’ or ‘obligations’ of the British in the Treaty? HERE is final English draft of the Treaty which was used to construct the Treaty in Maori.

There are only four, and four only.

  1. Article 1: to establish a government. A democracy.

     

  2. Article 2: to protect the land, dwellings and property of all New Zealanders. In today’s language,  the British only ever intended Article 2 to agree to protect Maori house and contents.  That is to say, whatever land, dwellings, and contents Maori chiefs owned at 6 February 1840, the British agreed to protect.  In their minds they were only saying to Maori, “We’ll stop other tribes and the French (the two big fears of Maori in 1840) from stealing your stuff.”  That is all.  Of course, the next big issue the British faced was arbitrating between Maori chiefs as to who owned what.  As you can imagine, disputes between chiefs were furious, especially now that money was involved.  The fact of the matter is that Maori went onto to sell 92% of their land, a fact conveniently never talked about today. HERE are the facts about the 92%. Maori activists today have twisted the narrative of Article 2 to mean that Maori were guaranteed ownership of all New Zealand forever! (tino rangatiratanga).  This is complete nonsense.  It’s BS to the highest degree.

     

  3. The British also agreed to buy land from Maori, which they did.

     

  4. Article 3: to grant Maori British citizenship.

 Activists often use the line ‘….the demands of Te Tiriti o Waitangi’ to justify anything.

Of course, the gullible public just drink it all in and say “Oh, they say these demands are true so they must be true”.

Analysis: 'Treaty of Waitangi' Comic For High School Students Has Been Quietly Brainwashing Away Since 2018 (Part 1)

Today I want to bring your attention to a comic which was released by the government in 2018, paid for by the tax payer.

Initially, I thought is was just for high school students.  Yesterday, one of our followers wrote to me saying it was being used in other government departments.

It’s jam packed with lies, half truths, and truths about the Treaty. Vital information is missing.

There are at least three impressions that the authors want our high school age students to get:

  1. The British tricked / deceived Maori chiefs when the Treaty was signed.
  2. Maori had all their land and resources stolen.
  3. The only right thing to do is to give all the land and resources back to Maori.

Over the next few weeks in my blog I am going to analyse this comic, one page at a time.

I would like you to do the same.

For each page you view, please just note down:

  1. The outright lies.
  2. The half truths
  3. The missing information.
  4. The truths.
  5. The subliminal messages.

Each page mixes these five elements which makes it so very dangerous.  The deception is very subtle but deadly.

HERE is the comic.

And why have they been targeting High School Students?

Soon after they leave school, they become voters.

Really, the purpose and intent of the people who put this comic together is criminal.

How many high school students leave school each year?

According to this document, it’s 60,000.

Times this number by 5 (i..e. 2018 until now).

That’s 300,000 potential voters.   This is a massive pool of voters.

It’s no wonder Labour, the Greens and Te Pati Maori got 40% of the vote in the last election, this in spite of an absolute disastrous government performance.

Where did their help come from?

Undoubtedly, the 300,000 were significant.

So, with that introduction out of the way, let’s now discuss the cover of the comic.

The first thing I noticed was a Maori was on either side of the title.  Really, the Treaty was between Maori chiefs and the British, so there ought to have been a Maori on one side of the title and non-Maori on the other.  What’s the subliminal message with Maori on both sides of the title?  Answer? Maori are the dominant race, those in control.

The second thing I noticed was that the authors were European sounding.  It is highly likely they are not Maori or part Maori.  Why were European names recorded as the authors?  The subliminal message is simple: “Europeans approve of what is written in this comic, or the message in this comic.  This is not just radical Maori pushing a radical Maori agenda.  There are a lot of Europeans on board.”

Why this message?  The authors want the students to think “Hey, I am European.  I better get on board with the message of this comic.  This is my own culture telling me something.”

What is this? It’s recruiting for Maorification.

The third thing I noticed? Consulting Editor: Hōne Apanui.  He is a known activist, working deep inside Maoridom inside government. One can’t get the jobs he’s done (and is still doing inside government) if one is not an activist.

The fourth thing I noticed? The comic’s title is not just ‘The Treaty of Waitangi’ which is its original title.  In the comic it’s called Te Tiriti O Waitangi.

What does this signify?  What’s the message?

Answer? The Treaty has been Maorified.  Te Tiriti has been tacked on.  Why?  Because Maori activists want all New Zealanders to get the message.

What message?  The Treaty is all about Maori.  It’s all about them, their needs, their wants, their interpretation of the document.  Tacking on Te Tiriti to The Treaty of Waitangi is one aspect of Maori domination, which is, ultimately, what Maori activists want. They want to dominate / rule New Zealand.   Where do they say this? In He Puapua.

It does not sound like National has ‘disestablished’ the Maori Health Authority.  Reti says they have given it more power!
