Analysis: 'Treaty of Waitangi' Comic For High School Students Has Been Quietly Brainwashing Away Since 2018 (Part 7)

Above and on the left  is page 3 of the comic we have been analysing.  Yesterday, I started on page 3. Today, we are still on page 3. There is much more to say.

It is worth noting the following which came from one of our supporters

“Those “propaganda comics” were first published  in 2018 by the Ministry of Education.

And who was the Minister of Education in 2018? None other than “Clueless Chris”!

Where does the Ministry of Education go for advice? The NZ Council for Educational Research.  And……. their chief researcher is Rose Hipkins. Mother of Clueless Chris.

You have to wonder what influence she has had on his decisions as Minister of Education?

HERE is the whole comic.

If you want to know why we are analysing this comic, just refer to blogs for the last few days.

If you scroll down on this blog, you’ll see the previous blogs easily.  In short, the comic was released into schools in 2018  to brainwash our children.

What is its purpose?

Maori Activists inside the Labour government, particularly the Maori caucus, supported by the Greens and Te Pati Maori, are grooming our children so that when our children leave school and become old enough to vote, they will vote for all things Maori.

In this way, so the plan goes, Maori will be able to legitimately and legally take over the country.  That is to say, they are grooming our children to vote for a Maori takeover.

What’s happening here is exactly what happened in Germany in the 1920s and 30s, preparing the ground for Nazi rule. In the case of New Zealand, it’s tribal rule.

So what is there to say about page 3?

Dutch explorer Abel Tasman discovered New Zealand in  1642. He did not go ashore. In 1642, New Zealand did not have a name. The Dutch Parliament gave what we now know as New Zealand Nova Zeelandia  or Nieuw Zeelandt.

Cook discovered New Zealand in 1769.   Unlike Tasman, Cook went ashore at Mercury bay.  He raised the British flag on a high place and carved the name of his ship ‘Endeavour’ into a tree.

Why all the fuss?  Well, according to international convention / law at the time, this is what was necessary to ‘claim’ a country under what was known as ‘The Doctrine Of Discovery’.  Tasman missed his opportunity.  Cook took his.

From this point on New Zealand officially / legally belonged to the British.

In 1770 Captain Cook visited New Zealand again and turned Nova Zeelandia  or Nieuw Zeelandt into New Zealand.

Fast forward to 1840 when the Treaty of Waitangi was signed.

The British could have, legally and rightly, just simply moved in to New Zealand, bypassing the need for a Treaty.  Several factors influenced their decision to strike a Treaty with Maori.

First, they assessed the military strength of Maori.  Collectively, Maori were too powerful.  Sure, Britain could have easily defeated them with their superior weapons.  With 10 war ships and 10,000 troops, Britain could have easily and simply wiped out Maori.

However, at 1840, Britain had 50 colonies on the go. Wars were expensive, and starting one with Maori in New Zealand  was out of the question.  The bottom line was the Britain could not afford a war.

Second, in the 1820s and 30s Britain was undergoing a Christian revival.  Christian groups lobbied the British parliament to treat New Zealand as a sovereign nation. According to the Christians, the British could not just muscle their way in, and push Maori aside. That is to say, Christians in Britain went in to bat for Maori.

The Christian missionaries believed that ‘uncivilised savages’ (this is how the British Parliament described Maori in 1840) around the world, who, semi naked were practicing infanticide, slavery and cannibalism, human sacrifice, worshipping false gods and demons, could not live their best life doing such things. The missionaries wanted to lift Maori from the gutter most to the upper most.  This was their raison d’etre.  They made huge personal sacrifices to do what they did. Many lost their lives in in the process.  This fact is never mentioned by Maori activists today.

Here is a quote from Lord Normanby’s instructions to Hobson dated 14th of August, 1839.  Lord Normanby was the colonial secretary in England who was responsible for overseeing the Treaty process.

“There are yet other duties owing to the aborigines of New Zealand which may be all comprised in the comprehensive expression of promoting their civilisation, understanding by that term whatever relates to religious, intellectual and social advancement of mankind.

For their religious instruction liberal provision has already been made by the zeal of the missionaries, and the Missionary Societies in this kingdom, and it will be at once the most important and the most grateful of your duties to this ignorant race of men to afford the utmost encouragement, protection and support to their Christian teachers.

I acknowledge also the obligation of rendering to the Missions such pecuniary aid as the local Government may be able to afford, and as their increased labours may reasonably entitle them to expect.

The establishment of schools for the education of the aborigines in the elements of literature will be another object of your solicitude, and until they can be brought within the pale of civilised life, and trained to the adoption of its habits, they must be carefully defended in the observance of their own customs, so far as these are compatible with the universal maxims of humanity and morals.

But the savage practices of human sacrifice and cannibalism must be promptly and decisively interdicted; such atrocities, under whatever plea of religion they may take place, are not to be tolerated within any part of the dominions of the British Crown.”

I want you to notice some things here, as written by Normanby:

  1. Maori are to be civilised.
  2. Maori are an ignorant race of people.
  3. The missionaries must be fully supported.
  4. A priority must be made of establishing schools for Maori.
  5. Maori can keep observing their own customs, so long as those customs don’t break British law e.g. slavery, infanticide, human sacrifice, cannibalism.

OK, back to the factors which influenced the decision of the British to strike a Treaty with Maori.  The colonial office took the high moral ground.  It stipulated that New Zealand was not to be colonised without ‘the free intelligent consent of the natives’.

Hence, the Treaty.

Third, Maori were inviting the British to come and help them. Why? They were self-annihilating.  Between 1800 and 1840 the Maori population had halved, from 150,000 to 75,000.

This was Maori killing Maori in what is known as the musket wars.  Maori also had a dreadful fear of the French.  The French had their eyes on New Zealand too.

All this detail is missing from the comic.  Legally, under the flag of the doctrine of discovery, New Zealand belonged to Britain. Strictly speaking, they did not need a Treaty with Maori.

But sometimes being legally right does not make a move morally right.

For the reasons I have explained, the British eventually chose to colonise New Zealand by striking a Treaty with Maori. In effect, they were being gracious and kind to Maori.

This fact is especially true when one considers the results of colonisation.  Basically Maori sat back and watched the British set up a democratic government, schools, roads, infrastructure, hospitals, shops, trade and so on.

Maori today are benefitting massively from what was essentially British sacrifice of lives, time, and money.

Many would argue that Maori have been paid back many times over for any injustices.  How? Via the benefits of colonisation.  The argument in a valid one.

The comic writers would not convey these historical truths to their student readers. Why?  It does not fit with their narrative.

What narrative?  They want children / students reading this comic to get the idea that Maori owned all of New Zealand at 1840 and that the British came in and tricked them  / forced them into signing a Treaty.

They want the children / students reading the comic to get the idea that New Zealand at 1840 was an island paradise where peace and love between Maori reigned.

They want the children / students reading the comic to get the idea that unruly British settlers came here and ruined the peace and love between Maori, stole all their land, and disrupted their existing government which, they say, was functioning perfectly.

None of this is true.

What’s the truth about Maori prior to the Treaty? In short, they were the most dysfunctional people group on the planet.  They had no government and they were war-a-holics. Cannibalism, infanticide, human sacrifice, and slavery were rampant.

Many could / would argue that they are still dysfunctional today, if negative social indicators are anything to go by. Maori top the lot.

This comic is a key component of Maori activists to take over the country.  It targets children.

In my book TAKEOVER: 18 STRATEGIES MAORI ACTIVISTS ARE USING TO TAKE OVER NEW ZEALAND  I detail all the strategies activists are using.

You can read this book HERE.

In tomorrow’s blog, I will continue the analysis.

See you then!

As I have said, we must get behind Winston, Jones and Seymour, Luxon, emailing them regularly with encouragement and our full support to expunge co-governance and Maorification from New Zealand.

Leaders need encouragement constantly.

Email Luxon urging him to do what the people of New Zealand elected him to do, which was to rid the country of Maorification and co-governance.

Warn him that he will be a one term PM if he doesn’t.

Here are their email addresses:

Hugh Perrett on the Comic

“WHO on earth authorised that comic ( see below in this  ‘post’ in originating paper) It is a totally deceitful  scurrilous, deliberately dishonest tissue of lies totally and deliberately structured to present Maori as the heroes they CERTAINLY WERE NOT AND ARE  NOT . Like us Maori were settlers who arrived by sea  ( in their case  in canoes , arguably from Rarotonga )  , and in their case ( unlike ours) immediately set about slaughtering  , raping , enslaving , murdering  and CANNIBALISING the existing, established, peaceful , non-resisting Moriori race —- to near extinction .

It is unbelievable that our children and grandchildren have been DELIBERATELY exposed to and taught the absolute crap in this comic and that our EDUCATIONAL AUTHORITIES and GOVERNMENT have not  just stood by and allowed it to be promulgated to innocent young minds not in a position to question it , BUT have been instrumental in  introducing and promoting it as being “the truth” .

I am afraid Maori and their collaborators  are yet again exposed as ‘contrived for purpose’ DELIBERATE LIARS looking to brainwash innocent children FOR LIFE with Maori’s lies . “
