How many times do people have to say maoris are not indigenous it is part of their verbal history that they arrived in canoes just like the rest of us did only ours were larger, more powerful and faster and they didn’t just drift here they were pointed in this direction
This nonsense has to stop one way or another.
“The traditions are quite clear on one point, whenever crew disembarked there were already tangata whenua (Prior inhabitants) living in New Zealand”. Dr Ranginui Walker, Head of Maori Studies, Auckland University 1986.
Prior inhabitants include the Turehu, Patupaiarehe, Moriori and Waitaha people.
Some good information here : http://www.celticnz.co.nz/
Feel free to cross-check it however you like.
Growing up it was openly acknowledged that the peoples now called Maori found other people already here when they started arriving and that they killed and ate them or assimilated then,(as slaves).
In my experience the racist Maori Supremacists , with the full co-operation and active help of successive governments since 1970 have destroyed any evidence that clashes with their narrative of history which is nearly all fictional.
Great article with clearly spelled out history. For more on the Tiriti o Waitangi you can look here : http://www.treatyofwaitangi.net.nz/
The New Zealand government,(whatever party), do not want facts known as ALL political parties are run from the U.N. and working towards global communism.
Many of the present Maori Supremacy movement problems are caused directly from John Key signing the U.N. ‘UNDRIP’ declaration.
That the Tiriti o Waitangi was left in a damp basement for rodents to chew on says it all.
Fortunately copies of nearly all important documents were sent to U.S.A. and England where they are kept in various archives.
Various New Zealand governments have destroyed the local copies not realising that there was a document trail to evidence that negates the local ‘official’ narrative.
Many thanks Dr John Robinson. Another rational short history of early New Zealand. It was obvious that the majority of the Chiefs saw great benefits in ceding sovereignty to the Crown, particularly in the areas of British citizenship, defense, security, peace, justice, law and order, Christianity, education, health, transport, land titling, scientific and industrial advancement, trade and cultural development. Apart from some cases of human frailty and error, the first 130 of years of colonization produced a great society of equal opportunity with equal obligations for all Kiwis who were prepared “to step on the bus” How is it that in the past 50 years a relatively small group of part Maori activists with British legal training have been successful in conning New Zealand governments into believing that the Treaty of Waitangi made provision for Co-Governance? This is an attempted Coup. It is time for ordinary Kiwis to stand up and be counted. Democracy must be restored, MMP questioned and preferably a Swiss styled Binding Citizens Referendum system adopted..Power must be restored to the people.
“Are We Two Peoples, Separate? Are ‘indigenous’ Maori A Race Apart?”
Whilst academic answers to the above may be interesting, the important question is how best can what were two different races and cultures integrate to thrive in today’s world?
There are historical precedents for this from Mongols to Romans. The most successful integration clearly occurs when races assimilate over time by intermarriage, with the more advanced culture, language etc dominating. There are also plenty of examples where continued existence of separate, powerful tribal entities within a nation means strife for all. The path down which Ardern’s Labour/Greens Government has been taking us, effectively attempting to reverse integration, is one of disaster. By far the most destructive out of their long list of policy failures.
