Hi Julian,
Suggestion – you put something on the pending 600 overlapping foreshore claims on your blog. I am amazed at the number of people I talk to who have no idea. My understanding is the first cases go before the courts in the next few months. This is part of the takeover that is very real and about to start unless Govt steps in. They have been very quiet on this considering the imminent start of the cases.

As I have said in previous blogs, we must get behind Winston, Jones, Seymour and Luxon, emailing them regularly with encouragement and our full support to expunge co-governance and Maorification from New Zealand.
Leaders need encouragement constantly.
Email Luxon urging him to do what the people of New Zealand elected him to do, which was to rid the country of Maorification and co-governance.
Warn him that he will be a one term PM if he doesn’t.

E-mailing Luxon:
An e-mail to Luxon on the Treaty Principles Bill was responded to by his correspondence unit with a standard form letter on the topic that talks about not changing the Treaty, which I’d not suggested was of concern, clearly not even bothering to read my letter and with Maori salutations.
My response complaining about receiving a form letter, suggesting that they might consider using chatGPT to respond specifically and politely requesting correspondence to be in English with English salutations was responded with to “noted” with salutations in Maori, rudely ignoring my request.
Difficult not to get an impression of disinterested arrogance.
Even a simple reply saying that the letter was being passed to the PM for his consideration, whether or not strictly true, would have been far more acceptable.
Exactly! Had much the same experience. Much the same form letter in reply to the 3 letters I wrote to Luxon. All about treaty settlements etc but no reply to the concerns I raised and no indication that my letter had even been read. Was trying to ensure that David Seymour’s bill actually went somewhere we could actually have a say on it but I’m not getting very far. Any advice on what we can do to stop this takeover of our public assets and get rid of all this maorification of everything? It’s getting very blatant so the activists must be sure of themselves. It’s time the over 90% of other New Zealanders had a say.
Imagine if the reply said that the letter was being passed to the PM for his consideration and you discovered it never was (of course the PM has no time to read every letter sent to him). I think then you’d have cause to be slightly miffed.
Lord Normanby said to Hobson “Her Majesty’s Government have resolved to authorise you to treat with the Aborigines of New Zealand for the recognition of Her Majesty’s Sovereign authority over the whole or any parts of those Islands which they may be willing to place under Her Majesty’s Dominion”. This is confirmed in Article Two of the treaty.
Let Māori argue their case in court and provide evidence of the absence of documentation for where they have not willingly placed areas of the seabed and foreshore under the Crown’s control. I presume the government has the land deeds for the areas where Māori wish to continue their customary practices.
