They Are After Our Children: Government Paid For ‘Treaty of Waitangi’ Comic For High School Students Has Been Quietly Brainwashing Away Since 2018

Today I want to bring your attention to a comic which was released by the government in 2018, paid for by the tax payer.
It’s for high school students.
It’s jam packed with lies, half truths, and truths about the Treaty.
There are at least three impressions that the authors want our high school age students to get:
- The British tricked / deceived Maori chiefs when the Treaty was signed.
- Maori had all their land and resources stolen.
- The only right thing to do is to give all the land and resources back to Maori.
Over the next few weeks in my blog I am going to analyse this comic, one page at a time.
I would like you to do the same.
For each page you view, please just note down:
- The outright lies.
- The half truths
- The missing information.
- The truths.
Each page mixes these four elements which makes it so very dangerous. The deception is very subtle but deadly.
HERE is the comic.
And why have they been targeting High School Students?
Soon after they leave school, they become voters.
Really, the purpose and intent of the people who put this comic together is criminal.
How many high school students leave school each year?
According to this document, it’s 60,000.
Times this number by 5 (i..e. 2018 until now).
That’s 300,000 potential voters. This is a massive pool of voters.
It’s no wonder Labour, the Greens and Te Pati Maori got 40% of the vote in the last election, this in spite of an absolute disastrous government performance.
Where did their help come from?
Undoubtedly, the 300,000 were significant.

As I have said, we must get behind Winston, Jones and Seymour, Luxon, emailing them regularly with encouragement and our full support to expunge co-governance and Maorification from New Zealand.
Leaders need encouragement constantly.
Email Luxon urging him to do what the people of New Zealand elected him to do, which was to rid the country of Maorification and co-governance.
Warn him that he will be a one term PM if he doesn’t.

Comic:
It would be useful to have a little more background on the Calman and Derby Te Tiriti O Waitangi comic. Whether there is any evidence of its current use in schools, perhaps whether there is an official MoE reference to it somewhere as part of the curriculum. I couldn’t find this. Although clearly it appears on some other teaching resource web sites e.g. https://topteachingtasks.com/treaty-of-waitangi-books-for-kids/.
From a quick look through it is clearly outright propaganda, even just from the biased subliminal messaging in how people are presented in the pictures, e.g. Maori, kindly or neutral vs Pakeha, threatening.
If the comic is being actively promoted by MoE then I will certainly write to Luxon, Seymour etc, asking what they are doing to curtail the use of such indoctrination material in schools.
Although for Luxon at least, from previous responses to e-mails, I doubt such questions would make it past his communications team.
Yesterday, 27/2/2024, I sent individual emails to CL, WP, SJ, DS, and Erica S, with a link to Julian’s blog and made the following comment:
Action needs to be taken to affect an immediate withdrawal of this “Comic” from schools.
Elizabeth Rata should be engaged to review and correct the lies and half-truths in it and expand on why Maori Chiefs requested a Treaty to enable survival of their race, and then have it reissued.
