You can read the absolute nonsense Ben Thomas is writing about co-governance. I am absolutely certain they (Labour) are on to us, for defining co-governance, and exposing it, and now they want to change the subject, or get the public off the topic. So we have the PM and Luxon saying “We must have a public debate about co-governance” and Ben Thomas saying change the name. They are cornered. We must keep up the pressure. You can read what Ben Thomas wrote HERE
Details of WHANGAREI and MAUNGKARAMEA events will be posted on our web site shortly.

The newspaper the Northern Advocate continues to discriminate against us. We wanted to post a half page advert in the paper but they refused to print it if it included our web address or a QR code to our web address. In other words, they are censoring what the public can and can’t hear / see. This is North Korean style political interference in the media, right here in New Zealand..

Hi Julian,
I looked at proposed locations for your roadshow but noted with some sadness that there is not one in the Horowhenua / Manawatu region other than Wanganui.
I urge you to consider the great number of middle north island rurals who might want to come along… maybe you can squeeze one in in Palmerston North, Levin or Otaki?
Many thanks,
Susan

What a “SHILL”.!!
Press secretary for Finlayson- say no more!!
No mention of the complete “CESS PIT” so called co-governance has made of Lake Waikaremoana??
This whole apartheid mess began with the introduction of the 1975 Treaty of Waitangi act by Matiu Rata under the third Labour Government using a fraudulent “English Treaty as signed” document.
If “We The People” can undo that act of treachery, then the whole edifice comes tumbling down. ( class action, privy council, whatever it takes)
Fraud vitiates EVERYTHING.
Let’s take it back to the intent of 1840 where the only principle was- He Iwi Tahi Tatou – We Are Now One People.

We must not lose sight of what’s been written there.
E.g. “Leader of the House, Chris Hipkins, denied any knowledge..”
Keep fighting hard as we must protect our Democracy in NZ.
Ben Thomas comment won’t open
Whinlayson’s spinner. Whinlayson, a man nobody wanted but that arrogant Key foisted him on us, that dreadful man stood four rimes as a candidate and was told in those four elections to bugger off yet key persisted with him . WHY
Anyone else see the likeness to a young Mussolini
Simply another toady for a former National cabinet minister trying to justify the ongoing Maorification of our once united country.
If you want this stopped, party vote ACT.
I believe it’s time we had a petition to call for a referendum on who are Maori today.
There are over 7 Government Acts on the definition of Maori for various reason as their ancestry has become further and further diluted through intermarrigae of their own free will will people from other lands, but since the last Act in 1975, their ancestry has become futher diluted .
These people are no longer the people who signed the Treaty, they are a mixed race of people with a minute trace of Maori ancestry.
While they can still call themselve Maori, the word Maori shoud be deleted from our statute books.
This would be a good one for you to pursue Julian, I would but at 81, I am past it, so will leave it to you young guys.
The definition in legislatures is a Maori is a person of the Maori race of New Zealand and includes any descendant of such a person.
Pretty straightforward really, and with ongoing partnerships between Maori and non Maori the percentage Maori in the population is forecast to grow.
On that basis in a few hundred years time a large proportion of the global population will be Maori. Just think, maybe then To Reo Maori will finally trump English as the universal language. ,,, well, either that or Klingon.
Oh I forgot to add, Queen Victoria is no longer around, but just as the Crown is still valid, the iwi still exist despite the original signatories having long departed.
Sues, While the percentage of Maori in the population increases their ancestry decreases, therefore, isn’t it time we all became New Zealanders with the same rights as the tangata Maori chiefs agreed to in 1840?
While you are again correct, the Crown is still valid, but iwi now consits of people of many different tribes/races through intermarrage, living in many different places.
“Farmers should be involved in decisions affecting farmers.”
What a bloody stupid point. Clearly everybody should be involved in decisions that affect them, which in a democracy is achieved through lobbying and communicating with publicly elected representatives, typically councillors and MPs. Where everybody has, or should have equal access to those representatives.
The problem arises when Maori tribes are provisioned with “special” democratic rights over other groups such as … farmers.
“Confusion” about co-governance is largely being engineered by those who wish to disguise it.
I reiterate : Land and water are one. Read the sale and purchase deeds online at Victoria university. Maori sold the “rivers, lakes and streams” to the Crown.
Purchasers from the crown purchased land with English water rights. Now both Maori and the Crown are attempting to alter those contracts.
That’s what happens when one party to a contract is conflicted with the other.
Maori can NEVER EVER be allowed to infiltrate the Crown which is what they have done with their so called “Maori Caucus”. Talk about leaving a rabbit in charge of a lettuce patch !!!!!!!!!
Thomas talks of the treaty. Which version?
Until now, Co Governance has never been major party policy for any political party. That simply has too change along with a FULL review of NZ History.
Bang on Russell. The concept of legal ownership was yet another gift to Maori from the British, with titles granted via the Maori land courts based on English law, not animistic beliefs about possession of rivers and mountains.
