I have to say old boy that Kiwis have caught up with the French on the art of capitulation.
We have almost lost a war without as much as a fart of protest
Alastair
We have only lost the war Alastair because most New Zealander’s do not know their true history.
What happened after the Treaty of Waitangi was signed?
Below is taken from the official translation from the original Maori text by, Mr T E Young of the Native Department in 1869 for the Legislative Council.
Article 1 stated, “The chiefs of the Assembly, and all chiefs who have not joined that Assembly, give up entirely to the Queen of England for ever all the Government of their lands”.
Article 2 explained to Maori, they would have the same rights to their lands, their settlements and their property, “The same as all the people of New Zealand”. This was English law.
Queen Victoria and/or Lt Governor Hobson did not have the power or authority to give Maori any special rights or privileges in the Treaty of Waitangi not enjoyed by all the people of New Zealand, and none were given.
Article 3 stated, “The Queen of England will protect all the Maoris of New Zealand. All the rights will be given to them the same as the doings to the people of England’.
But that’s as far as the Treaty of Waitangi went. New Zealand was under the dependency of New South Wales and the Treaty of Waitangi had achieved it purpose and was filed away.
If we are to understand New Zealand’s true political history, then we must follow on with what happened next.
So, what did happen next?
Queen Victoria issued a Royal Charter/Letters Patent dated 16 November 1840 that separated New Zealand from New South Wales dependency and made New Zealand into a British Colony on 3 May 1841 with a Governor and Constitution that set up New Zealand’s political, legal and justice systems under one flag and one law, irrespective of race, colour or creed.
This was New Zealand’s true Founding Document and first Constitution.
If you are going to tell New Zealand’s “Political history”, then don’t stop at the Treaty of Waitangi, it’s only a very small part of our true political history.

Here is my question to you. Have the courts in NZ at any stage ruled out the Royal Charter / Letters Patent? If so what happened and when? Keep your answer short and to the point please. I find it odd that you have been going for 40 years now and have not made any headway. There must be bits of the jigsaw we are not aware of i.e. things you have not yet told us.
Excellent response Ross. I remember the ‘Treaty to You’ debacle and how the state deliberately misconstrued Tiriti o Waitangi.
Yes well past time that some true history was taught but unfortunately the majority of people are to put it bluntly really, really stupid and apathetic.
Thank you Barry, yes most of these new commers would not remember this. The ONF put a lot of effort into defending our democracy over this corrupt act by the Government’s Treaty 2U in 2004.
We also saved the Hobson’s final dtaft from being lost for ever,, but again, probable a bit early to be remembered by some..
.
As for Julian’s question, No, the courts in NZ have not ruled the Royal Charter/Letters Patent out as they would not have the power to do so. The Royal Charter was issued by, “Victoria by the Grace of God” under, “The Great Seal of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland” and set up our courts in New Zealand under, one flag and one law. Democracy that is being taken from us because the Royal Charter is being completely ignored. For further info check out our website.
The only ones that is right with our history is ONZF who has for many years trying to convince idiots that our founding document is Queen Victoria
‘s Royal charter not the treaty of Waitangi. Until people start waking up to this we will never win.
Brilliant letter, well worth publishing.
One has to wonder how many other Maori feel similarly, what proportion.
Although tribal culture would no doubt prevent raising of heads above the parapet.
Ron, The people of Maori descent I know personally, which are the majority, fall into two camps. The educated and critical thinkers,(the majority), and the brainwashed descendants of turekareka who buy into the ‘White Supremacist’ oppression crap that the communists push.
The former far outweigh the latter.
The majority of Maori I associated with are opposed to Te Parti Maori and their racist divicist policies.
Jacinda is creating an environment in which Maori will be in permanent grievance mode.
Maori are the architects of their own demise,. Colonialism is just an excuse for a race of dysfunctional people to continue to lay the blame for their predicament at the feet of everyone but themselves.
Maori Health issues are of their own making as are criminality, illiteracy, gang membership, drug dependancy and unemployability. No amount of compensation will ever change a defective mindset.
For Maori to seek control of all natural resources of this country based on a supposedly superior cultural
Methodology and respect for all things natural, is an absurdity. This is a race of people who simply wandered a land taking whatever they wanted from whoever they wanted and nothing has changed.
To perpetuate this myth and created a fictional bastardised language, then sanitise history and insist that the language is important and necessary, in order to be a nation of non racists, is in itself the greatest absurdity ever proposed by the 120 so called representatives in parliament.
Thier is no racism or inequality until some politician insists that there is, then the aggrieved party puts their hand out for $$$$$ compensation. The aggrieved party or parties then become permanently encouraged to take offence at everything that everyone else does or says.
The Maori are adept at manipulation of a situation, particularly one which affords them a continual stream of funding and special rights, over and above the other 84% of the population.
Now on that basis, who amongst us can not or will not see, the criminality and legal oversight in that particular political model ? Do we need to be lawyers or experts on constitutional law to recognise what is actually happening.
Well said all of the above. At least some (many, but who are not willing to openly state it) are acknowledging our true history. New Zealanders do not like getting into racial matters because they are then called racists, when in fact those who are gradually maorifying New Zealand are the true racists. The One NZ Foundation and others have done meticulous research and everything has been written down through the ages so cannot be refuted, unlike the stories from Maori who didn’t have anything written down and we all know how stories can change in the telling. As all the lies, reinventions etc have gone on for so long lily-livered/cowardly Politicians are too afraid to come out and acknowledge the truth. They are more interested in their own re-election chances than doing what’s right for the country. Full marks to Julian Batchelor for his brilliant ‘sessions’ up and down the country. I’m just disappointed that he doesn’t promote our true founding document, Queen Victoria’s Royal Charter, at the same time. It would be the perfect place to acknowledge this vital document and get this country back onto the right track.
If anything you are being too kind in your assesment.
One of the major problems we have now is the huge percentage of New Zealanders we have, not born here, have no Knowlewdge of our history, dont give a damn, no experience of how NZ was built and couldnt care less!!
Plus the white and brown trash which have become dominate in Government.

It really is as simple as this,
“THERE CAN BE NO TAXATION WITHOUT REPRESENTATION”
