Yesterday I spent the day with Winston Peters and Shane Jones.
They were holding a fundraising event for NZ First, which was a great success. I was given the BBQ duties with Winston so it was fabulous to spend a few hours one on one with him.
I asked him lots of questions, of course, and he gave some wonderful advice, based on all his experience as a politician.
One thing is certain – Jacinda Ardern kept her plans for co-governance via He Puapua a complete secret from him the whole time he was her deputy Prime Minister.
He also advised her against setting up the $55m Public Information Journalism Fund with all the strings attached.
He felt is was corruption. But she went ahead anyway. And sure enough, it has led to truck loads of corruption.
There were many other things he told me.
Today (Sunday 21st August) I am going to Warkworth with Shane Jones to hear Winston speak at the Warkworth town hall at 3pm. If you are in the area, I hope you can make it.
His topic?
“DEMOCRACY, NOT CO-GOVERNANCE!”
I can’t wait to hear what he has to say.
I will let you know in tomorrow’s blog.
Until then, please keep getting the word out there about our web site www.stopco-governance.site.
